The company's purpose is, in particular: a) to study, construct and operate the networks necessary for the transportation of gas, particularly in Western Switzerland, as well as to obtain all federal or cantonal concessions or authorizations; b) to sign all wholesale purchase contracts, especially long-term contracts for gas, imported or from Switzerland, as well as the sale of this gas to shareholders and other interested parties; c) to take over, construct, equip and operate production, storage or treatment facilities for gas; d) to participate in the exploration of gas and the search for gas storage sites in Switzerland and abroad; e) to participate in other companies or corporations pursuing similar goals and to collaborate with Swiss circles interested in gas. The company may establish branches and subsidiaries in Switzerland or abroad. Furthermore, it may engage in all operations, including movable or immovable property, except for operations prohibited by the LFAIE, which are related to its main purposes.
