The cooperative aims, through mutual self-help, to provide its members as well as the population of Beringen and Klettgau with food and other daily necessities. The area of activity can also be expanded through other measures serving the purpose. The cooperative can participate in further projects that pursue a sustainable, biological, and regenerative design of Swiss agriculture. The cooperative operates in a meaningful and purpose-oriented manner, not profit-oriented. We see profit as a tool for achieving the purpose. Any surpluses after provisions must be reinvested into its own value chain. In doing so, the promotion of farms operating biologically and regeneratively is in the foreground. The cooperative works closely with businesses and organizations to further develop the offers and own products and to strengthen the cooperative's community spirit. The cooperative also aims, through mutual self-help, to provide its members with reliable, transparent, and self-determined supply of socially and ecologically acceptable products. The criteria for this include: a) ecological and regenerative in terms of cultivation, transport, processing, and packaging. b) social and sustainable in terms of the conditions for producers, processors, suppliers, and employees. The cooperative also aims to a) achieve the most comprehensive cooperation with regional and small producers as well as initiatives and projects that work in the sense of the cooperative b) the mediation and exchange of information on sustainability topics c) the joint decision-making regarding the design and development of the cooperative. For this purpose, it operates a distribution channel in which both members and non-members can shop. Members have the opportunity to shop at special conditions according to the provisions of the purchasing regulations.
