The purpose of the cooperative is to acquire real estate in the Basel region in order to promote social cohesion, community and social aspects, support local businesses, promote sustainability and offer fair rents. The cooperative can participate in companies with the same or similar objectives and conduct all business that is directly or indirectly related to its purpose and suitable for promoting or facilitating the achievement of the cooperative's purpose, including the acquisition or sale of real estate. The cooperative's activity is non-profit and not driven by profit.
