The foundation aims to provide students, particularly those studying at the University of Basel, with suitable and affordable housing at cost price. The foundation achieves this purpose, among other things, by acquiring plots of land or rights to them and by renting houses, apartments, and rooms. The foundation can also engage in further activities that serve to achieve its purpose. To fulfill its purpose, the foundation can carry out all necessary construction, commercial, and financial activities. The foundation makes the available housing space available to the Association for Student Housing (WoVe), Basel, for use within the framework of a rental or management contract, as long as the association rents out the housing space in accordance with the foundation's purpose and complies with the provisions of the contracts.
