The foundation's purpose is to promote and support the work of institutions and individuals in the field of elderly care in the former municipalities of Kerenzen (Filzbach, Obstalden, Mühlehorn). The foundation can specifically provide grants to institutions or individuals who are active or reside in the municipalities of Kerenzen, within the boundaries as they existed on the day of the foundation's establishment. It can also provide grants to institutions outside the municipalities of Kerenzen, within the boundaries as they existed on the day of the foundation's establishment, provided that these institutions benefit the residents of the municipalities of Kerenzen. Specifically, the foundation amortizes the IH loans for the expansion and renovation of the Letz nursing home in Näfels.
