Global Federation of Insurance Associations (GFIA)

The Federation represents national and regional insurance associations on matters of common interest. In particular, the Federation will: (i) represent the interests of its member associations, inter alia, vis-à-vis international regulatory bodies, standard-setting bodies and governments, in order to increase the efficiency of the industry; (ii) contribute to an international dialogue on matters of common interest by formalizing contacts, cooperation and dialogue between national and regional insurance associations; (iii) cooperate with other international organizations, in particular those representing the insurance industry; (iv) disseminate non-commercially sensitive information and research results; and (v) provide information on the positions taken by the Federation.
