The company's purpose is, in particular, to contribute to the development of the economy within the framework of the cantonal energy policy, to ensure the supply of natural gas and other similar fluids to the canton of Fribourg and the surrounding interested regions. To this end, it may, in particular: undertake the study, construction and operation of networks, as well as treatment and distribution facilities; apply for the necessary concessions and authorizations; conclude purchase and sale contracts; participate in other companies or societies pursuing similar purposes or exercising related activities, such as district heating. The company may carry out any commercial and financial transaction, directly or indirectly related to its purpose. It may register branches and subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad, as well as acquire, hold, manage and sell real estate. The company may grant loans or any other form of financing to companies of the same group, as well as provide guarantees of any kind, for the direct or indirect benefit of companies of the same group or third parties, in particular in the form of guarantees, pledges or securities on the company's assets.
