Groupement des Dépanneurs Vaudois (GDV)

The non-profit association aims to operate, in collaboration with the police forces, upon their request, a car breakdown service on the territory of the canton of Vaud, with the intention of serving the general interest. It has a breakdown call center that collects phone calls from the police forces and organizes the breakdown service based on the location of the incident, assigned sectors, and available responders. It sets up, manages, and monitors the allocation of sectors to its members. The allocation of a sector is not a vested right and can be redefined at any time. It sets out, in a Specifications Book, the necessary requirements for operating a breakdown service. It may work in collaboration with members of similar associations from neighboring cantons, if circumstances require it, or other road user associations or insurance companies.
