Heat supply for private properties and public buildings via a wood-chip heating plant and a district heating network; heat transfer into the building's water system, using radiators, underfloor heating and domestic hot water boilers.

Operation of a wood-chip heating plant in the centre of Knonau; heat production from Knonau wood, return flow of cooled water to the plant, and additional use of photovoltaic and exhaust-air condensation.

Connection of properties to the district heating network with a district heating interface station; replacement of heating boilers, burners and an oil tank, while the existing heat distribution system can be retained.
