The company's purpose is the trade in crude oil and petroleum products, natural gas and other hydrocarbons in general, as well as the trade in electricity and all other raw materials and financial instruments related to raw materials, for its own account or for the account of third parties. It also has the purpose of trading in petrochemical and chemical products, storing oil and chemicals in general, transporting them by sea, air and land, executing similar commercial transactions, including representing national and foreign companies, and any other act related to the aforementioned activity. It may perform any act and exercise any activity that is directly or indirectly related to its aforementioned purpose, in Switzerland and abroad, for its own account or for the account of third parties. To achieve its purpose, the company may hold participations in existing or future commercial companies or associations, in Switzerland and abroad, as well as establish companies or branches in Switzerland and abroad. It may also grant loans and provide any other form of financing to companies or commercial associations of its group and/or to third parties, guarantee in favor of these companies or associations, and provide any form of guarantee. This includes, in particular, the right to issue bond loans, participate in the capital of companies or commercial associations to which it has granted loans, by converting these options or loans into shares. The company may take any other action to achieve its purpose within the limits of these statutes and applicable law, undertake any commercial or other activity, and perform any material or legal act directly or indirectly related to the company's purpose.
