The association aims to operate and manage hospices in the canton of Bern for people in the final stages of their lives. It provides all kinds of services necessary for the operation of hospices, particularly medical, nursing, and therapeutic care at the end of life. The hospices are open to all people, regardless of their faith, social, and cultural background. The association acts as a non-profit organization and has exclusively charitable objectives. It provides its economic services at least partially under the conditions of a public task of the canton of Bern in the field of healthcare and healthcare provision. The association can establish branches, offices, or representations, participate in other domestic enterprises, acquire or merge with similar or related companies. It can manage assets, in particular acquire or dispose of real estate, securities, patents, and other intellectual property rights, as well as engage in all transactions and conclude contracts that are suitable to promote the purpose of the association or are directly or indirectly related thereto.
