The foundation aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship for the benefit of the Swiss economy and society, with the goal of strengthening Switzerland as a business and living space as well as a workplace. This is achieved in particular through the support of innovative ideas and projects in Switzerland and the recognition of outstanding achievements, including through the annual awarding of the Prix Suisse. The foundation is exclusively charitable and does not pursue any profit-making or self-help purposes. It does not pursue any commercial purposes and does not seek any profit. The profits and capital of the foundation are exclusively dedicated to the aforementioned purpose; the use of even parts of the foundation's assets in any other way than to achieve the foundation's purpose is excluded. To achieve its purpose, the foundation can also acquire and manage real estate and intellectual property rights or participate in companies (particularly the initiative Switzerland AG). A merger or transfer of assets can only take place with a legal entity based in Switzerland that is tax-exempt due to its charitable or public-purpose nature.
