The purpose of the association is to promote emotion-focused, psychotherapeutic approaches (particularly Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)) in the German- and French-speaking regions of Switzerland and abroad, to strengthen humanistic psychotherapy, to provide advanced and continuing education for psychologists and psychotherapists and other therapy professionals, particularly in the field of EFT, to provide psychotherapeutic services, research services (publications, organization of congresses, etc.), and to rent out premises. In cooperation with the EFT-PE training institute, the association aims to establish an independent, humanistic, and postgraduate advanced training program in Emotion-Focused and Process-Experiential Psychotherapy. The association may establish branches and subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad and may participate in other companies in Switzerland and abroad, as well as conduct all business that is directly or indirectly related to its purpose. The association may acquire, encumber, dispose of, and manage real estate in Switzerland and abroad. It may also provide financing on its own account or on behalf of others, as well as provide guarantees and sureties for subsidiaries and third parties.
