The purpose of the Association, a non-profit organisation, is: to promote the international development and practice of teqball in all its forms; to act as the global governing body for the practice and development of Teqball in all its forms and variants; to encourage and promote the development of Teqball at national level through regional and local organisations and, in particular, to assist in the establishment of National Federations where they do not exist or where it is opportune; to ensure broad international adherence, in particular by encouraging the formation and affiliation of National Teqball Federations; to codify and obtain recognition of uniform Teqball rules in its main variants for tournaments or other sporting events, as well as all other forms of competition; to promote, organise and/or approve international Teqball events and to establish and organise the Teqball World Championships under the name of FITEQ World Championships; to issue and publicise an official code of conduct for participants in events it organises or approves; to obtain recognition of Teqball by certain international sports bodies, such as Sport Accord and the International Olympic Committee (IOC); to comply with the Olympic Charter and the World Anti-Doping Code (for full purpose see statutes).
