The objectives of the IGF are, in particular: a) to promote Gushtingiri in all its forms by supporting all projects and initiatives that can contribute to its development, to preserve the unity of the global Gushtingiri movement and to protect the material and moral interests of its members; b) to defend the interests of IGF members by promoting cooperation and friendship between them and all organizations involved in Gushtingiri; c) to oversee the organization of events bearing its name and ensure they are conducted in a safe manner; d) to defend, protect and represent the rights and interests of Gushtingiri vis-à-vis government authorities as well as public and private institutions; e) to foster and maintain friendly relations with Gushtingiri athletes around the world; f) to ensure that participants in Gushtingiri activities, and athletes in particular, have the opportunity to make a direct contribution to IGF activities.
