To promote rainwater management in the context of integrated water resource management (IWRM), linking economic development with the protection of vital ecosystems; to support the development of rainwater management projects and initiatives worldwide and facilitate access to funding through third-party donations and grants; to strengthen an international network of rainwater management; to elevate rainwater management as a water resource to the top of development agendas, particularly in countries or regions prone to droughts and floods; to raise awareness of the importance of proper rainwater resource management; to share and enhance existing knowledge in rainwater management - training professionals and community leaders in rainwater harvesting technologies, strengthening their resilience and capacity to cope with climate change; to support adequate rainwater management among beneficiaries, NGOs, and local authorities involved in climate change adaptation, water restrictions, groundwater recharge, flood control, by elevating the debate to the political level through the development of strategies and tools to take appropriate action and generate sustainable change; to accompany all IRHA members in their commitment to perfecting rainwater management programs and projects worldwide by creating bridges between professionals, encouraging links, exchanges, learning, and knowledge management from past experiences.
