The purposes of the association are as follows: to develop and promote SAMBO clubs worldwide; to represent and protect the interests of SAMBO clubs; to organize international competitions and association events; to control the implementation of events and competitions organized by its members; to regulate activities related to SAMBO clubs that are members of the association; to ensure compliance with SAMBO rules in all events held under the auspices of the association; to facilitate the exchange of information and qualifications between SAMBO clubs worldwide; to encourage cooperation and strengthen ties between member clubs; to improve the training of coaches and supervise the activities of judges, referees, and technical and administrative staff; to improve the quality of SAMBO instruction; to respect and promote the principles of the Olympic Charter, the Olympic Code of Ethics, and the World Anti-Doping Code (WADC); to promote the principles of non-discrimination related to religion, beliefs, race, sex, and to combat discrimination at all levels (for complete purpose see statutes).
