Islamische Gemeinschaft beider Basel

The purpose of the association is to unite, spiritually nurture and strengthen the faithful in the Islamic creed. To fulfill this task, the association provides religious care for the faithful from birth to death through conscientious pastoral care and active welfare work, and by offering a wide range of educational programs for men, women, and especially for children and young people. This is intended to convey religious beliefs and knowledge, language, as well as historical, social, and cultural aspects of Islam. Furthermore, the association aims to offer a comprehensive sports program for children and young people to strengthen the sense of community. The association also aims to consolidate the legal status of persons with Islamic faith in Switzerland and will therefore work with other organizations to achieve this goal.
