Islamische Gemeinschaft Kanton Glarus

The purpose of the association is to unite, spiritually care for and strengthen the faithful in the Islamic creed. To fulfill this task, the association provides religious care for the faithful from birth to death through conscientious pastoral care and active welfare work, as well as offering a wide range of educational programs for men, women, and especially children and young people. These programs aim to convey religious beliefs and knowledge, language, as well as historical, social, and cultural aspects of Islam. Furthermore, the association intends to offer a comprehensive sports program for children and young people to strengthen their sense of community. The association also aims to consolidate the legal status of individuals with an Islamic creed in Switzerland and will therefore work with other organizations to achieve this goal.
