The foundation aims to serve the general public in a non-profit manner with its resources. It does not pursue any commercial purposes. All income from the assets brought into the foundation and, in the event of the foundation's liquidation, the entire foundation assets are to be used exclusively for non-profit, cultural, scientific, and artistic purposes. Thus, the foundation will support public or private institutions that pursue charitable or benevolent purposes in any way, or will directly provide contributions to those in need. The foundation will also support schools, scientific enterprises of all kinds, or students and scientifically active persons who are worthy of promotion, with donations and scholarships. Furthermore, the foundation will also support cultural and artistic endeavors through grants to institutions with cultural goals or artists. The promotion of the aforementioned purposes or goals is carried out by the foundation primarily in the wider catchment area of Winterthur. However, it can also extend its activities to the entire canton of Zurich and, exceptionally, also support Swiss institutions or events in general.
