1. Decarbonization & Energy Efficiency: The association pursues idealistic goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase energy efficiency by providing high-performance computing infrastructures (server heaters) with direct heat utilization. It thus contributes to Switzerland's climate goals (Net Zero by 2050).
2. Server Heating & CO2-neutral Heat: Server heaters meet the growing demand for computing power and convert the electricity used for this purpose into heat. This waste heat is provided as useful heat - for example, for heating, hot water, process heat, and heat networks.
3. Sustainability Focus: The association acquires and holds the plant(s) and leases them exclusively to operators who; ensure the use of renewable energy (e.g., via certificates of origin); utilize the waste heat systematically and efficiently (integration into buildings/heat networks).
4. Location & Partner Principles: The association prioritizes locations with high heat density (especially greenhouses, district heating networks, hotels, industry) and cooperates with municipalities, energy suppliers, and research to achieve maximum heat utilization and system-friendly integration (storage, peak load management).
5. Use of Profits: The association does not pursue any profit-making activities; leasing revenues are used exclusively for the maintenance/modernization of the plant(s) or the repayment of financial resources (see Art. 7).
