The foundation aims to promote general interests by providing non-profit and public-benefit activities itself and supporting others in their non-profit and/or public-benefit activities. With the foundation's capital and its returns, the foundation aims to support and promote social, philanthropic, charitable, humanitarian, health-promoting, cultural, scientific, educational, technical, ecological, and other exclusively non-profit works and projects in Switzerland and abroad. To this end, it supports and promotes projects and organizations in the general interest. Support is to be granted to projects in general education, ecology (in particular monument, homeland, nature, environment, and animal protection), sports (in particular broad-based sports promotion), research and science, as well as art and culture (in particular painting and music). To fulfill this purpose, the foundation can also support other foundations and organizations, in particular the Stiftung Sammlung E.G. Bührle (CHE-101.868.987) and the Géza Anda-Stiftung (CHE-110.234.882). Furthermore, the foundation supports and promotes projects in social welfare, human rights, peace promotion, and other social goals in the sense of Article 41 of the Swiss Federal Constitution. In this context, the foundation also aims to promote projects that contribute to bridging cultural differences, particularly between different nations, peoples, and age groups, and to promoting mutual understanding. It can provide financial support, sponsorships, donations, and scholarships for these purposes, as well as award prizes that recognize achievements in the sense of the foundation's purpose. The purpose of the foundation is limited to promoting general interests in the sense of the applicable regulations and practices of the Swiss tax authorities and courts for public and non-profit purposes. The foundation is politically and denominationally neutral and is not state-owned. The foundation does not pursue commercial or self-help purposes and does not strive for profit. The foundation can also transfer the fulfillment of its tasks to other organizations, create them and/or promote existing ones. Donations to relatives or closely related natural or legal persons of the founder or members of the foundation board are excluded. This does not include donations to other non-profit and/or public-benefit foundations established by the same founder and/or closely related natural and/or legal persons or by members of the foundation board and/or closely related natural and/or legal persons.
