The foundation aims to provide talented individuals in modest financial circumstances with the opportunity to pursue academic education or further training at universities, universities of applied sciences or other equivalent educational institutions on an exclusively non-profit basis. The foundation can achieve its goals in various ways, such as by directly awarding scholarships or providing loans to students or trainees, supporting schools, universities or other educational institutions, and financing research assignments and projects in education. The foundation pursues its purpose in Switzerland and abroad through targeted support for individuals, institutions and projects. The founder intends to create economic opportunities in the regions of origin of the beneficiaries through education and the establishment of social ties that arise during studies and training, thereby contributing to progress in these regions. The foundation does not pursue any commercial purposes and does not strive for financial gain.
