The purpose of Oeuvre d'Orient Suisse is to support the activities of Eastern Christian communities among local populations, regardless of religious affiliation, in the fields of education and care, humanitarian and social aid. This action is mainly carried out in the Middle East, North-East Africa, and South India. Oeuvre d'Orient Suisse also aims to support refugee populations in Switzerland, with priority in the canton of Valais, who come from these same regions. The Association benefits from the expertise and technical support of the French association of Oeuvre d'Orient (20 rue du Regard, 75006 Paris, France), particularly for the selection of projects to be financed and the control of their implementation, as well as for the preparation of its publications. The terms of this support are the subject of a protocol between the Association and the French association of Oeuvre d'Orient. It is entitled to carry out all activities necessary to achieve its purpose.
