The association aims to promote public health care, in particular the fight against epidemics and epidemic-like diseases, as well as the support of hungry, disaster-stricken and sick people all over the world. The relief measures are taken both through direct support of those in need, tax-exempt corporations or institutions and individuals who serve the purpose of public health care, as well as in the form of individually designed humanitarian aid actions and measures on site. They include in particular the procurement and provision of medicines, medical-technical equipment, food as well as the financing of training and education for individuals and institutions serving the purposes of public health care. The association also aims to promote destitute children through the organization or support of training and/or leisure projects. Activities that are suitable for presenting the association's goals, work and activities to the public, as well as shaping public opinion through education with the aim of promoting self-initiative, also correspond to the purpose of the association. Furthermore, the association's purpose includes raising funds to fulfill its tasks.
