The cooperative pursues the purpose of providing its members with good and affordable housing and maintaining it through joint self-help and co-responsibility, in order to realize self-managed, secure and communal forms of housing. Where possible, commercial space is also to be created with the same objective. It seeks to achieve this purpose through the acquisition of building land and building rights; the construction and acquisition of single-family and multi-family homes that meet the cooperative's modern housing needs; careful and ongoing maintenance and periodic renewal of existing buildings; the construction of replacement new buildings when existing buildings can no longer be renovated in an economically justifiable manner; the use of funding instruments under the Federal Housing Promotion Act or corresponding cantonal and communal laws; the administration and rental of apartments on a cost-rent basis; the promotion of cooperative activities in the settlements; ideal and material support for efforts aimed at affordable and good housing. The cooperative's activity is non-profit and not profit-oriented. The cooperative can participate in companies and organizations with the same or similar objectives.
