The cooperative aims to provide affordable housing and to build and acquire residential buildings or apartments and spaces, excluding any speculative intent. In particular, it pursues the purpose of promoting affordable housing in the sense of the federal Housing and Property Promotion Act (WEG) and corresponding cantonal or communal ordinances. To this end, the cooperative may acquire, manage or rent properties or real estate companies. The sale of properties or parts thereof is also permitted. In this case, the members of the cooperative are given the opportunity to acquire real estate or apartments at the production costs, taking into account all costs and expenses. In principle, the living space is to be made available to persons with limited income and assets. Within the framework of providing affordable housing, the cooperative may acquire properties that include up to a maximum of 25% of the investment costs for other uses (commercial, office, etc.). This maximum quota does not include the ancillary rooms belonging to the residential units, such as hobby rooms, garages or parking spaces, etc.
