The foundation aims to establish, in collaboration with domestic and foreign universities, an independent institute for the development and implementation of study programs in the field of management development and related areas at the postgraduate level. The foundation seeks to promote the quality of leadership cadres for small and medium-sized enterprises through its courses. It is not profit-driven, but rather offers its courses at cost (including commercially justified depreciation and provisions). Consequently, unconditional benefits to the founder or third parties are excluded. In pursuit of the foundation's purpose, the foundation organizes the training operation in collaboration with the founder. It ensures, through corresponding admission criteria, that only selected candidates complete the courses and that the foundation's diploma always enjoys an excellent reputation. It also ensures that its external appearance (premises, printed materials, clothing of lecturers and staff, etc.) corresponds to the exclusive level of education. The foundation also aims to promote innovations that significantly improve the quality of life in everyday life and thereby create jobs. This promotion is achieved in particular through the awarding of prizes, the ideal support of the innovator, and the announcement to the widest possible public. Furthermore, the foundation aims to promote research and teaching in the field of management andragogy (adult education in business management). It pursues this purpose by conducting research projects in the field of management andragogy, collecting and making scientific publications available, publishing or supporting their publication, awarding research contributions and scholarships, promoting scientific cooperation in the field of management andragogy in Switzerland, and maintaining relationships with scientists abroad, particularly in Europe and the USA, and establishing chairs for management andragogy and appointing suitable lecturers. As a secondary purpose, the foundation aims to preserve the bust of Charlemagne from the treasury of the 'Hohen Dom zu Aachen' in Germany - a reliquary and unique European cultural asset, which depicts the upper body and head of Charlemagne - made of silver, partially gilded, and decorated with ornate borders, antique gems, and numerous precious stones. The bust contains the skullcap of Charlemagne inside. The foundation ensures, through financial contributions, the careful and artistic renovation as well as the maintenance of the Charlemagne bust, in order to support and secure its preservation as a cultural asset.
