The foundation exclusively pursues non-profit, non-commercial purposes, in particular the following: promoting and improving the living and working conditions of economically and socially disadvantaged people involved in the production process of raw materials for the manufacture of chocolate and confectionery products, namely cocoa farmers and their families. Support is provided to improve the economic, social and ecological conditions of these individuals; supporting non-profit organizations and institutions in the field of school education and training, as well as childcare and youth development; supporting organizations and institutions in the field of family, education, culture and education that carry out non-profit projects; Furthermore, the foundation provides support to alleviate specific hardship cases of individuals/families in need (e.g. in cases of illness, accident, disability, death, unemployment, old age, homelessness, addiction, poverty, etc.) or in favor of victims of natural disasters, wars, epidemics/pandemics, famines or other extraordinary events. The foundation board can set priorities and sub-goals within the aforementioned purpose areas, depending on the development of the foundation's assets and allocation planning. Support is provided through financial contributions (mainly) project-related to individuals, organizations and institutions or project sponsors that are committed to the aforementioned purpose areas. In cases of hardship support, support services can also be directed directly to affected individuals. However, as a principle, no grants are awarded upon request. The foundation does not provide services to the founder and its shareholders, board members or management. The foundation is active in Switzerland and abroad. The foundation can acquire, encumber, sell and participate in real estate. The founder explicitly reserves the right to change the purpose of the foundation in accordance with Article 86a of the Swiss Civil Code.
