The Marti Engineering AG realizes robot cells for a wide range of tasks, as a stand-alone solution or integrated into a complete system. We integrate robots from Yaskawa, ABB, KUKA, Stäubli and other manufacturers and choose the system that technically and economically best suits the task. Typical applications are pick-and-place, loading and unloading, palletizing, handling under cleanroom conditions and camera-guided component manipulation. Robot cells demonstrate their strengths especially in short cycle times, varying workpieces and ergonomically demanding tasks.

Gripping systems have been one of marti engineering ag’s core competencies since the company was founded in 1981. From more than four decades of experience we develop the right gripper solution for every application: vacuum, parallel, and forming grippers, lightweight grippers for plastic parts, as well as fail-safe pick-and-place and handling grippers that securely hold heavy components under harsh environmental conditions. Our grippers are used in injection and die casting, for removal from CNC machines, in packaging, as well as in pick-and-place and other robot applications.

Automation around aluminum and magnesium die casting is a core focus of marti engineering ag. We automate the periphery of die-casting cells, in classic casting as well as in mega-casting, where large-format structural components are poured in one shot. Our spectrum ranges from fail-safe grippers and handling systems for heavy castings, to special applications, to test benches and fully automatic inspection via image processing. A particular strength are our maintenance platforms for safe access to the die-casting mold. They are based on a uniform standard, on which we build the adaptations to the customer’s requirements, in every size. Because the basic principle remains the same, the platforms are especially reliable even with a high degree of individualization. Our systems prove their worth worldwide with a multitude of automotive manufacturers.

The services contained in our special machinery are also offered by marti engineering ag individually, performed by the same specialists who realize complete systems daily. In the beginning, feasibility studies, pre-projects and cost-benefit analyses stand as a solid basis for investment decisions. For testing tasks we build trials with sample parts and evaluate rule-based as well as AI-based image processing in documented feasibility analyses. In Engineering we take over project management, 3D CAD design, simulation and FEM calculations, electrical planning with EPLAN as well as PLC programming with Siemens TIA Portal and Beckhoff TwinCAT, including drive technology, safety and machine learning. In addition, assembly, control cabinet manufacturing and commissioning, in-house or on-site, as well as risk assessment and CE documentation according to the Machinery Ordinance. And once the system is running, we ensure its availability with remote maintenance, fault service, maintenance, revisions and spare parts management, also for machines from other manufacturers.
