The Matterhorn Gotthard Verkehrs AG is the owner of the operating facilities of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn Group, including rolling stock, depots, and workshops. It is the owner of the transport infrastructure on the Zermatt-Disentis and Andermatt-Göschenen lines and holds the concession for passenger transport on these lines. It is responsible for the management of passenger traffic, car transport, and freight transport on the railway, including the maintenance, renewal, and procurement of rolling stock. On the road, it organizes line traffic, rail replacement services, and tourist offers in its business area. The company subordinates its area of activity to the strategic and operational interests of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn Group and thus to the unified management of the integrated railway company by the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn AG. The personal composition of the company's board of directors takes into account this unified management structure.
