Assistance to needy individuals who require medical attention due to eye diseases or who have become needy due to loss of vision; procurement of devices that enable better treatment of eye patients. The foundation's funds are primarily intended to benefit residents and citizens of Uster. To the extent that not all interest and a reasonable portion of the capital are used for this purpose, the funds shall be made available to a wider circle of needy individuals, mainly in the canton of Zurich, either directly or by transferring the funds to institutions with similar objectives.
