The foundation financially supports people in need, particularly women who are overwhelmed by their mental or physical situation and require assistance to recover. It fulfills its purpose mainly in the following ways: It enables people with limited financial means to stay at the Oberwaid spa in St. Gallen, in accordance with the testamentary will of Anita Hubacher. It helps people, especially women, to recover through a stay in monastery-owned institutions: It covers part or all of the costs for a spa stay, specifically in the monastery-owned spa houses Oberwaid in St. Gallen, Bergruh in Amden, and Haus Bethania. It covers part or all of the costs incurred by providing care, therapy, education, and accommodation to people with limited financial means, especially women, in the remaining monastery-owned institutions. In special situations and cases of hardship, it can also cover outstanding health costs of third parties.
