The company's purpose is the acquisition, holding, management and disposal of equity participations of all kinds in service, commercial, financial, industrial and other companies in Switzerland and abroad, in particular companies in the field of science and innovation that develop new technologies in the areas of food, nutrition, health, well-being and related industries. The Company may establish branches and subsidiaries in Switzerland and abroad. The Company may acquire, hold, manage, pledge, utilize and dispose of real estate and intellectual property rights in Switzerland and abroad, as well as finance other companies, except for operations prohibited by the Federal Act on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Foreigners (LFAIE). The Company may grant loans, secured or unsecured, or provide guarantees or securities to shareholders, direct or indirect subsidiaries, parent companies, sister companies or third parties. Furthermore, it may operate or participate in cash pooling/netting arrangements, including periodic balance adjustments, with companies of the group to which it belongs. The Company may also do all of this without consideration, on preferential terms, without interest or other remuneration, excluding the Company's profit motive and incurring a concentration of risks. The Company may engage in all commercial, financial and other activities that are suitable to promote its purpose or are related to it, taking into account, to the extent permitted by law, the interests and general orientation of the group to which it belongs.
