The purpose of the company is to enable natural persons or groups of persons who manage and bear the risks of an agricultural operation within the meaning of the Federal Law on Agriculture (LAgr) of April 29, 1998, as well as professional beekeepers, fishermen and fish farmers whose production is mainly from the country, to obtain loans by providing guarantees in their favor, in accordance with the company's organizational regulations; the beneficiaries of the guarantee must necessarily be members. In deserving cases, the OVCA may also provide guarantees in favor of companies whose capital is held by more than 2/3 by the aforementioned operators. The company may: - carry out any financial, commercial, movable or immovable activity directly or indirectly related to its purpose or likely to promote it; - become a member of an association or federation of legal entities pursuing a similar purpose or join an institution or public law entity whose purpose is to recover claims from agricultural credit institutions. The company may only provide guarantees to the banking institutions mentioned in Article 3 of the statutes, which also meet the conditions set out in Article 11; it then grants the required guarantee for current account loans, with real or personal guarantees, granted to the beneficiaries defined above. The maximum amount of guarantees granted by the company may not exceed ten times the amount resulting from the addition of the following elements: - the equity as defined in Article 30 of the statutes; - the risk fund, as defined in Article 31 of the statutes; - the state's financial guarantee.
