The foundation pursues the following purposes: Financial and advisory support for patient organizations that advocate for or engage with individuals affected by rare diseases in the broadest sense. Advice for individuals affected by rare diseases and their relatives. Financial support for individuals affected by rare diseases and their relatives in justified individual cases. Funding of organizations and projects of any kind (including medical research projects) that aim to promote the well-being of individuals affected by rare diseases directly or indirectly. The foundation can establish and/or participate in other legal entities within the scope of its purpose. It can enter into cooperations with individuals and institutions, merge with other tax-exempt foundations, or acquire the assets of other persons, or acquire and hold rights or real estate. Support services are provided exclusively to tax-exempt institutions and needy individuals. The foundation pursues its purposes in Switzerland and abroad. Supported organizations, individuals, and projects must ensure that the grants received from the foundation are used efficiently, economically, and with high impact in the sense of the foundation's purpose. The foundation has a non-profit character and does not pursue any commercial purpose.
