The foundation, excluding any commercial or profit-making purposes, aims to support and promote mentally disabled individuals of all age groups, particularly those suffering from Trisomy 21 (Down syndrome), both in Switzerland and abroad. The foundation supports the medical care and improvement of the quality of life and leisure activities of such individuals and their relatives; promotes and supports projects and infrastructure related to public and private schools, residential homes, educational and training institutions for mentally disabled individuals, as well as institutions in the healthcare sector, such as hospitals, clinics, health centers, and outpatient clinics, and also supports self-help projects of the affected individuals and their relatives through one-time or recurring grants to suitable organizations of such schools, educational and training institutions, healthcare institutions, and self-help projects of the aforementioned type.
