The foundation's purpose is to provide occupational pension benefits within the framework of the Federal Act on Occupational Retirement, Survivors' and Disability Pension Plans (BVG) and its implementing provisions for the employees of the company and economically or financially closely related companies, as well as for their dependents and beneficiaries, against the economic consequences of old age, disability and death. The affiliation of a related company is made on the basis of a written affiliation agreement, which must be notified to the supervisory authority. The foundation may provide additional benefits beyond the statutory minimum benefits, including support benefits in cases of need, such as illness, accident, disability or unemployment. The foundation board issues a regulation governing the benefits, organization, administration and financing, as well as the control of the foundation. It defines the relationship with the employers, the insured persons and the beneficiaries in the regulation. The regulation may be amended by the foundation board, subject to the preservation of the acquired rights of the beneficiaries. The regulation and its amendments must be submitted to the supervisory authority. To achieve its purpose, the foundation may conclude insurance contracts or enter into existing contracts, provided that it is itself the policyholder and beneficiary.
