The purpose of the foundation is to provide care for the employees of the company and economically or financially closely related companies, as well as their dependents, against the economic consequences of old age, disability, and death. Furthermore, the foundation aims to support employees and their dependents in cases of need, such as illness, accident, disability, or unemployment. The affiliation of an economically or financially closely related company is based on a written affiliation agreement, which must be notified to the supervisory authority. The new affiliation must not diminish the acquired rights and entitlements of the existing beneficiaries. The foundation can also provide services to other tax-exempt pension institutions that exist in favor of the beneficiaries to finance contributions and insurance premiums. However, the contributions of the company and the affiliated companies can only be made from the foundation's funds if contribution reserves have been previously established and separately disclosed (employer contribution reserves). No benefits may be paid from the foundation's assets for which the company or the affiliated companies are legally obligated, or which they pay additionally as compensation for services rendered.
