The foundation aims to promote the education of children under 21 years of all nationalities (orphans, half-orphans, refugees or children from poor or broken families) and to provide for their maintenance and care during their training period. The education of the children must develop head, heart and hands according to the philosophy of Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi. The foundation provides assistance and support to selected children all over the world, especially in Africa and Asia, specifically: a) Direct support for The Pestalozzi Asian Children's Village in India. This village is managed and supervised by The Pestalozzi Children's Village Society (PCVS), 317/11 Vasant Vihar, Dehradun 248006 India. PCVS was founded and registered in India in 2003. All support of any kind must be provided to The Pestalozzi Asian Children's Village or PCVS with clear instructions to use the funds exclusively for the maintenance and continuation of this project and with clear indication of the origin of the donations, i.e. the foundation. b) Direct support for a new training center in Zambia, a similar project to the one described above in India. The new training center in Zambia is managed and supervised by The Pestalozzi Zambian Children's Trust (PZCT), which was founded in Zambia in 2001. All support of any kind must be provided to the center itself or to PZCT with clear instructions to use the funds exclusively for the establishment, maintenance and continuation of this project and with clear indication of the origin of the donations, i.e. the foundation. c) Direct support for future projects in Asia and Africa, similar to the two projects described above. d) Direct support for similar projects in Switzerland, up to a maximum of 10% of the annual support contributions. In exceptional cases, the foundation may also provide for the maintenance and education of a person for a maximum of two years after reaching the age of 21. The foundation may, at its discretion, purchase land including properties, build, renovate, expand and equip or adapt existing buildings anywhere in the world, especially in Africa and Asia, to meet the needs of a school complex with accommodations and/or a village. The foundation may also support or participate in non-profit foundations or institutions with the same purpose, which may be based in Switzerland or abroad. The foundation covers all costs for the maintenance, care and education of these children (including their accompanying persons at the beginning of their training) during the training period, including expenses related to the selection of the children and costs for their aftercare after they leave the school or village.
