Promotion of legal scientific activities, in particular at the Faculty of Law of the University of Fribourg, and specifically through: 2.1. Awarding a prize of at least CHF 10,000 to CHF 20,000 to the author of the best private law dissertation from the University of Fribourg of an academic year, which is worthy of publication. Dissertations with a grade of less than magna cum laude are not eligible for the prize. In case of equal merit, dissertations in the field of contract law are given preference. The prize is awarded annually on the Dies academicus or on another suitable occasion. By unanimous decision, the Board of Trustees may lift the restriction to Fribourg dissertations and also include legal dissertations from other Swiss faculties in the prize award. As long as the founder is alive, this decision requires their explicit consent. 2.2. Supporting special activities undertaken by the Faculty of Law of the University of Fribourg or one of its members in the field of private law teaching and research. This includes, in particular, the organization of relevant seminars, guest lectures, block courses, continuing education events, etc. The foundation does not pursue any commercial purpose.
