Pohl-Ströher Mineralienstiftung

The foundation aims to preserve a diverse, varied and scientifically significant collection of minerals. The collection is to be made accessible to the general public, particularly young people, in a suitable manner in Switzerland, across borders or abroad, especially through permanent loans to museums or universities. To this end, the foundation will exhibit the mineral collection at a location where it is accessible to the public but also scientifically supervised. This exhibition venue is intended to be a presentation, information and experience venue open to an audience interested in minerals. The foundation will organize events of various kinds related to minerals in general and the existing collection in particular in the canton of Fribourg and its surroundings, namely in the form of lectures, guided tours, documentation, public discussions and the like.
