The company may establish branches and subsidiaries both domestically and abroad and may participate in other companies both domestically and abroad. The company may acquire, hold, manage, and dispose of real estate both domestically and abroad, excluding transactions that are prohibited under the Federal Act on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Persons Abroad (BewG). The company may acquire, hold, license, and dispose of intellectual property rights both domestically and abroad. The company may provide management services to affiliated companies. The company may undertake and/or utilize financing of any kind for its own account or for the account of others and, in particular, may engage in credit or security transactions (including the granting of pledges, security assignments and transfers, guarantees, indemnities, letters of comfort, compensation obligations, and economic benefits related to such transactions), for a fee or free of charge, with, in favor of, and/or in relation to liabilities of direct or indirect shareholders, subsidiaries, and other affiliated companies, even if such financings, credit, or security transactions are exclusively in the interest of direct or indirect shareholders and/or affiliated companies. The company may conduct all business and take measures that appear suitable to promote the purpose of the company or that are directly or indirectly related thereto.
