The Association aims to promote and develop innovative technologies and applications, particularly in the field of distributed ledger technology (DLT), in order to contribute to their advancement and security, in the general interest. The Association is primarily dedicated to the development and promotion of the Quranium infrastructure, based on distributed ledger technology, and its associated technologies, including post-quantum cryptography, while exploring and supporting various technological projects in Switzerland and internationally, notably through the following means: (i) developing, securing and maintaining the Quranium infrastructure; (ii) holding and managing the intellectual property rights related to the Quranium infrastructure, while facilitating free access in the general interest and ensuring compliance with open-source licenses; (iii) gathering and federating individuals contributing to the development and operation of the Quranium infrastructure; (iv) supporting and financing research and development projects related to the Quranium infrastructure and its associated technologies; (v) promoting the adoption of distributed ledger technologies (DLT), particularly the Quranium infrastructure and its applications; (vi) contributing to the governance and proper functioning of the Quranium network; (vii) establishing collaborations with companies, universities, regulators and public authorities to promote the development of distributed ledger technologies; (viii) supporting the development of the Quranium ecosystem through node operation programs; (ix) representing the interests of its Members in consultation procedures related to the regulation of distributed ledger technologies, in Switzerland and internationally. The Association is non-profit. To achieve its purpose, the Association implements various activities, including the organization of projects, programs, conferences, exhibitions, events, competitions, as well as the creation of prizes and scholarships. The Association may support other public utility organizations pursuing similar goals. The Association is entitled to carry out all activities necessary to achieve its purpose.
