The association aims to promote an active, nature-oriented, and responsible leisure time on and in the water. The purpose of Respocean is: to promote environmentally conscious yacht sports at sea; to train qualified yacht sports enthusiasts; to safeguard the general interests of its members vis-à-vis authorities, administrations, organizations, insurances, etc. in Switzerland and abroad; to foster camaraderie and the ecosystem of the seas. It pursues these goals by, among other things, operating ships, organizing sea tours and diving trips, and promoting participation in actions to clean up the environment; conducting training courses to obtain the corresponding licenses; providing training and further education for ship masters and crew members; organizing actions to clean up beaches and waters. The association also promotes awareness of the sustainable use of natural resources and supports communal experiences as well as the exchange among members. The association can cooperate or participate with other organizations with similar goals in Switzerland or abroad. To this end, the association can conduct all business that is directly or indirectly related to its purpose.
