The purpose of the association is to provide emergency services and emergency medical services, as well as related services, in accordance with the Health Act (GesG; BSG 811.01), the Hospital Supply Act (SpVG; BSG 812.11), the Cantonal Civil Protection and Civil Defence Act (KBZG; BSG 521.1), and the relevant cantonal ordinances, and based on the guidelines of the Interassociation for Emergency Services (IVR). The association may engage in additional activities that are closely related to its main purpose. The association fulfills a public function. The association may establish branches, participate in other domestic and foreign companies, acquire or merge with similar or related companies, acquire or dispose of real estate, securities, patents, and other intellectual property rights, and enter into all transactions and conclude all contracts that are suitable for promoting the purpose of the association or are directly or indirectly related thereto.
