The income from the assets dedicated to the foundation shall be used as follows: by providing assistance to the livelihood of elderly and mentally or physically disabled residents of the municipality of Ittigen, in order to enable them to lead an independent life; by contributing to non-profit institutions for physically and mentally disabled individuals, based in the canton of Bern; by awarding scholarships to young people for vocational training, provided that the parents or one parent have been resident in the municipality of Ittigen for at least five years; training centers for young people in the municipality of Ittigen can also be supported; by contributing to construction projects of old-age and nursing homes in the municipality of Ittigen, provided that no such facilities are available from public funds, whereby in individual cases the foundation's assets may be used to a reasonable extent, which must be replenished from the income before the next use; by contributing to institutions in Switzerland that aim to research and cure eye diseases; by contributing to institutions in the municipality of Ittigen or the region that have a social character.
