The association is non-profit and serves the public interest. It aims to contribute to the development, promotion, and research in public health, both in Switzerland and abroad. Its main objectives are to promote and implement prevention, health promotion, and public health projects in Switzerland and abroad, in collaboration with healthcare institutions, public authorities, academic entities, and private partners; strengthen community medicine and prevention by durably addressing the needs of populations and adapting to local realities; support and conduct applied research projects in the fields of epidemiology, medicine, social sciences, and community health; contribute to strengthening the capacities of health systems through training programs, professional development, and capacity building; provide technical and scientific expertise to public institutions, NGOs, industries, and healthcare facilities; encourage international cooperation to support research, prevention, and innovation initiatives; publish and disseminate scientific knowledge derived from its work and raise public awareness of health and prevention issues; seek and mobilize funding from public donors, foundations, private partners, or cooperation programs. It may engage in ancillary activities, provided they serve to finance or facilitate the achievement of its objectives.
