The association pursues the following non-profit social goals internationally: to contribute to the promotion and social and economic empowerment of widowed women and the education of orphans and vulnerable children worldwide; to develop multi-faceted partnerships and organize capacity-building for professionals in protection structures, care services, magistrates, police officers, teachers, doctors, therapists, social workers, and media based on continuing education modules on protection, education of girls, and psycho-social assistance for adolescents; to popularize legal instruments/conventions related to the status of stateless persons and the 1951 Convention on the Reduction of Statelessness through awareness-raising campaigns and advocacy with policymakers in developing countries; to improve access to healthcare for vulnerable low-income populations in Switzerland and Africa through support for micro health insurance programs; to support the reform of a restorative juvenile justice system for children in conflict with the law, victims of social exclusion, in order to improve their protective environment within their families and communities; to provide immediate emergency assistance and support the early recovery of communities most affected by conflicts and disasters; to educate the Swiss population to a culture of North-South solidarity, particularly through specific emergency aid projects in the health and education sectors; to popularize legal texts related to the protection of children and widowed women in order to improve their economic and legal status through advocacy activities with decision-makers; to accompany local communities in improving their sustainable livelihoods through development projects in the economic, health, and education sectors; to provide humanitarian emergency assistance to victims of armed conflicts and natural disasters in Africa and around the world.
