The association (hereinafter the SRG SSR) organizes radio and television programs and provides other journalistic offerings in accordance with the Federal Act of March 24, 2006 on Radio and Television and the concession of the Federal Council. For this purpose and under the business name SRG SSR, the SRG SSR operates a business conducted in a commercially sound manner, which is referred to as an enterprise in the articles of association. With its program offerings and other journalistic services, it fulfills the legal and concession-related performance mandate. The offerings serve the free formation of opinion, promote cultural development, and contribute to the education and entertainment of the public. The SRG SSR may engage in other activities directly or indirectly related to its purpose. It may found other companies or participate in them within the framework of corporate policy. It serves the public. It does not pursue a profit motive.
